The major difference with this Football World Cup as opposed to previous ones is this:

1. You cannot arrive with just your passport and a credit card!
2. YOBS who get pissed or stoned out of their head and hope a good samaritan will stop them from being robbed or carried off, are very naive!
3. Getting drunk in the streets will not only attract the attention of the police, but also the attentions of more sinister opportunists.
4. As you can see by this clip, a night in jail for being Drunk and Disorderly WILL change your life! It is way different to Europe! It is AFRICA so grow up while here.
5. Guns are Legal and Prolific in SA, knives are childs play.

So please do come and enjoy the event, but please act like a responsible visitor and you should be alright. Africa plays SOCCER quite differently and the fans are very colourful and emotive so it should be really enjoyable and memorable! The local word for good fun is LEKKER!

Hooligans on the other hand will get what they have LONG deserved - BRING IT ON MATE!
